In this lesson, participants will explore the concept of impact and understand why impact measurement has become a strategic necessity for nonprofit organisations. The lesson explains the differences between activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact, and introduces the Results Chain as a framework for linking project resources and activities to meaningful long-term change. Participants will also examine how evidence-based impact measurement strengthens donor confidence and improves funding opportunities, before applying these concepts by analysing a real project and developing its Results Chain.
